What are Rshield Paint Protection Kits?
Rvinyl kits are optically clear adhesive backed urethane precut film kits
designed to protect your vehicle's most vulnerable bumper areas scratches,
nicks, scuffs, stone chips, bugs, winter road salt and sand.
Do I need to trim Clear Bumper Bra kits?
No. Rshield kits are pre-cut and computer designed for a simpler
do-it-yourself installation when compared with bulk film installations.
How hard is it to apply to contour or curved surfaces?
Some Rshield Paint Protection kits are designed short. This is allow
the film to be heated, stretched and "pulled" into place. If the kits were
sized for contours, they would be too difficult for the average
do-it-yourself minded installer to correctly apply.
Is Rshield Glossy?
Yes, the film has a high gloss finish which will blend with your vehicle's
OEM finish.
Will if fade or turn yellow?
No, our film is UV stable and guaranteed to last for years. Rshield has been
known not to crack, peel, fade, shrink or turn yellow for up to seven years!
Will the paint not protected by Rshield fade?
By maintaining your car's paint with regular washing and waxing there will
be little discernable difference.
My vehicle has just been repainted, can I install Rshield?
We recommend you speak with the auto body shop who painted your vehicle.
In general, once you can wax your vehicle you can apply Rvinyl Rshield.
How difficult is it to install Clear Bumper Protection Bra's?
We can not simply answer this question, you must consider how "handy" or a
do-it-yourself minded individual you are. Rvinyl.com has provided a
difficulty scale to aid in your assessment of how difficult this particular
kit may be even if you are an expert installer.
Why not use a cloth Bra?
Aside from being unsightly and dated, because they are not permanently
affixed they cause "chaffing" which scratches your vehicle's finish.
Can Rshield be removed?
Yes, when applied properly on fully "cured" paint it can be removed without
damaging your vehicle's surface.
Can Rshield be painted or clear coated?
No, the UV stable film is not formulated to be clear coated or painted. |
