Window Tint Installation - How to Prepare Your Rear Back Windshield
Rear Back Windshield
Preparation for Precut Window Tint:
You may need to remove the rear deck trim or third brake light housing to have
good clear access to the rear window and allow for proper heat shrinking and
excess water removal. With a side to side window use a scrubby pad to clean the
defogger lines and rear back windshield, then with a squeegee remove the excess
water with a side to side and then top to bottom motion.
The rear window is the most difficult window to tint. Some of our precut
window tint kits are designed in two pieces to aid in application. Take the time
to prepare this area as this is where most mistakes will occur.
