The eighth generation shared its platform (and doors, on some models) with its predecessor. Due to a recession, Toyota ordered that Corolla development cut costs, hence the carryover engineering. Luckily, we didn't cut costs in designing this smooth dash trim kit.

The second generation of the Paseo was introduced in 1996. Apart from some modernizing in the engine electronics, the only noticeable change was in the body sheetmetal. In 1997, a convertible model was introduced. However, this was the last year the Paseo was sold in the United States. Fortunately, we still sell dash kits for the Paseo even though it's dead and gone.
