Pre-Cut Window Tint Kit Description: |
What is a Pre-Cut Window Tint
Kit?
Rvinyl car window tint kits are precut specifically for the make, model
and year listed in the product name using advanced CAD based software
and the most updated window tint pattern databases in the industry. We
use professional grade equipment in the manufacturing of your film kit,
allowing for a precision and professional results in half the time it
would take you to install film by the roll.
How difficult is it to install Pre-cut Window Tint Kits?
Although installing precut kits is significantly easier and less time
consuming than installing film by the roll, it can still be a difficult
process. Although many sites claim their kits are easy to install, we
recommend you review the installation procedures outlined to make sure
our product meets your needs. Installation difficulty depends on the
ability of the installer, the particular windows being tinted and the
compound surface of the rear windshield as it will require heat
shrinking for proper installation. Front and rear windows are generally
relatively easy to tint as they rarely require heat shrinking. We offer
a
professional grade tool kit to aide in the installation process.
Can I return this product?
No. Returns are not accepted on this product, it has been custom made to
your specifications for your vehicle. We are not responsible for
improper installation. To aid in installation we offer a
protection
policy.
How much does it cost to have my windows professionally tinted?
The cost of tinting depends on the film being used and the vehicle being
applied to. In general, the cost is $300 - $500 for a complete
window tint installation. If you are purchasing this kit and plan on
having a professional installer apply the tint, you will generally not
save money. Installers profit is derived from the labor, not the
film costs and it is in their best interest to have as many billable
labor hours as possible. These kits are designed for the do-it-yourself
minded individual, if you plan on having this kit installed
professionally we recommend you purchase their film and installation
service.
My vehicle has factory window tint installed, what does Rvinyl
recommend?
Factory installed tint is generally rated between 15% and 20%, we
recommend you review the tint laws section of our site for applicable
front window tint laws in the state your vehicle is registered. When
installed properly, it will be difficult to distinguish factory from
aftermarket film saving you hundreds of dollars in installation fees.
Do you offer a warranty?
Rvinyl uses a lifetime warranted film when installed by a licensed
professional. This is professional grade film which will not fade, peel,
crack, bubble or turn purple when installed by a licensed professional.
This warranty is only applicable for professionally installed film kits.
Rvinyl.com will guarantee that the film will not fade or change color,
we can not extend any further warranties unless this film is
professionally installed. To aid in installation we offer a
protection
policy.
My film is larger than my windows, I thought it was precut?
Yes, it is slight larger as aftermarket window tint is installed behind
the weather strip of your vehicle and we have taken this into account in
the design of your kit.
How long does it take for the film to dry?
Cold weather and humid conditions can lengthen the dry-out time,
while warm, sunny weather will speed it up. Dry-out times can vary from
a few days to as long as six months, but the film will eventually dry
completely. Moisture that is trapped during the installation process can
cause bubbles or a slightly cloudy appearance. This is normal. Do not
try to “pierce” or cut the film in an attempt to drain the trapped
moisture. This will damage the film. Just be patient and allow the film
to dry completely on its own.
How soon can I clean my windows after installing window tinting?
Do not clean the film for 30 days following installation. This
allows the film to adhere securely to the window. When you do clean your
windows, make sure to use mild cleaning solution and fresh, clean, soft
materials. To avoid scratching the film, do not use abrasive cleaning
materials, bristle brushes, or cloth that contains dirt particles. Even
some paper towels are rough enough to scratch your film, causing a dull
finish over time.
