Decided to wrap project instead of as full on paint. This way changing anything would be easier. Found the perfect color to match the factory finish. Was a very irregular surface to place the vinyl on and it need to be stretched to make a good surface. Was amazed at how pliable the material was. I like being able to change the physical appearance without all the effort of painting. Best part is since it's vinyl and not hardened paint the ability to absorb road debris is much better.

hi, I have a 2018 kawasaki zx6r and I want to wrap the entire bike in satin charcoal gray. how many feet should I purchase, and how much would it be? thanks
March 22, 2021 7:55 PM
Richard, Great question! Sports bikes usually take about 40 square feet or an 8ft roll. You may want extra in case an area needs to be wrapped again or there is damage to the bike down the road. Hopefully that will not be the case! The cost will ultimately depend on the color, finish and pattern. It will be calculated when you add it to the cart.

Can I cut the film in small sections? Or does this have to be used for larger areas. Example, if I only want film on the sides of the radiator guard.
May 4, 2021 12:22 PM
Yanitza, You can cut the film into small areas to wrap just a portion like your radiator guard. Very small, I mean very very small areas can be hard to wrap as there may not be enough surface area for the film to stick easily.

Hello, I am looking to wrap my motorcycle tank and rear cowl. Would this product be okay for the tank? Thank you, Ellen Davis
March 10, 2022 8:46 AM
Ellen, Yes absolutely. You may use this 3M™ 2080 Series Motorcycle Wrap for both your tank and rear cowl. Just keep in mind that if you are using a film such as a Flip or Carbon fiber it is directional and you will want to make sure the two areas you are wrapping match. The easiest way to do that is to make note of the 3M logo on the liner and make sure they are "reading" in the same direction. If you use something like a gloss black vinyl wrap, this will not be an issue. You may want to consider some Wrap Adhesion Promoters for those wear and tear type areas to prolong the life of your wrap. We would love to see your bike! #RVINYL
