Acura custom fog light tint kits are designed and
manufactured to fit your year, make and model. In about seven
to fourteen days your custom kit will be designed to your
specifications and shipped directly to you. These custom fog
kits are the perfect choice for those who want the ease of a
precut kit but don't want to break the bank on a professional
installation or who are not confident enough to go attempt
wrapping their fogs with uncut film. Available in all of the
great Rtint shades and colors you've come to love like
blackout, smoke, yellow, blue and green (just to name the most
popular tints).
Acura custom fog tints are custom-designed for you
by designers with over twenty years combined experience in the
field using the latest in CAD technology. Once your design has
been completed you can expect it to ship the following
business day at which time you will receive an email with
tracking to let you know when to expect it. Perhaps the best
part about these kits is that they apply to your fog lights
just like a decal or skin for your phone. Simply peel the
tints off the clear liner and apply the self-adhesive tint to
your lights.
Application tools are not included but can be purchased with
your kit and are highly recommended. The squeegee with
friction sleeve is the most popular tool package purchased
with custom fog light kits because they help to heat stretch
the film while protecting it from scuffing. The Rapid Tac
fluid assists during installation by allowing you to
reposition the tint without requiring you to over-handle the
film.
Rtint® Smoked Films come in 14 different shades of smoke. The darkness of the shade is measured in a VLT (Variable Light Transmission) percentatge. This number measures the amount of light that can be transmitted through the tint naturally with no backlighting coming from a bulb. The higher the number, the the brighter the light will be that is allowed to pass through and the least amount of effective it will have on light output. The lower the number, the darker your light will appear. It works opposite of window tint VLT as you are trying to make the light appear darker on the outside rather than from the inside. Rtint® Smoke film, which is by far our most popular shade, will smoke your lights by about 38% while still allowing 62% of light to enter the housing. It will not block 38% of backlighting coming from a bulb, but will certainly have an affect on light output.
