How to Make a Two-Tone Decal with PC500 Film

How to Make a Two-Tone Decal

The video and infographic above show you how to make a two-tone decal of a phoenix from Avery Dennison PC500 Promotional Calendered film using a Cricut Explore Air 2. Clearly, you don't have to use the exact same version of vinyl cutter as any will do. The PC500 is a calendered film that is made to be used vinyl plotters and cutters so it will perform well in any brand on the market.

We wanted a cut file that would be easy enough to weed but still look good in a two color combo. Find the SVG file you want on a site like Etsy. We chose SweetSavvydesignz because they happened to have the best designs. We wanted to make a two tone decal so we chose to use Avery Dennison PC500 Canary Yellow and Cardinal Red, both of which are named after birds so we thought it went well with the flame and avian theme. After trying one (not shown here) we settled on the design seen here because it was easier to weed.

Our apologies for not showing the overlay of the colors in the video but I had some technical difficulties and forgot to take the footage.
