What is Carbon Fiber Vinyl?

Carbon Fiber vinyl is a rendering of woven graphite that is used in super cars, aeronautics, aviation and other high-performance machines where both low-weight and high-strength is required. That led to people wanting to get the look of real carbon fiber. Avery Dennison and 3M were the first to bring these films to the market. The films looked kind of like tiny checker boards and over time the pattern would rub off. As time progressed, the 1080 Series 3D carbon fiber films were introduced and everything changed in the blink of an eye - the winning combination of embossed hatch marks and printed graphics has been the standard for graphite weave films ever since.

What is a Digital Carbon Fiber Pattern?

Our Rwraps™ Digital Carbon Fiber is a 3D, textured film with a pixelated or checkerboard effect that catches and reflects light in a simultaneously understated and brilliant way. Before we released it, we thought about naming it Disco Carbon due to its uncanny resemblance to disco balls. But alas, we decided to not take that road and bring us back to the 80’s. You are welcome.

Where Can I use this 3D Digital Gold Film?

You can use this Rwraps™ vinyl wrap anywhere you would use wraps. That means as long as the surface is clean, sturdy, and has no holes, then you can start applying. Some of the most popular end use applications for this film are as follows:

  • Vehicle Dashboards
  • Vehicle Hoods, Fenders and Mirrors
  • Furniture
  • ATVs
  • Golf Carts

Vinyl Wraps Made for the DIY Installer

Our vinyl wraps are made for the do-it-yourself installer. You won’t need to use any glue, liquids, or any special tools which makes the installation process that much easier. You might be thinking, what’s the catch? We are still trying to answer that question ourselves. This film is specially formulated to be dimensionally stable and its adhesive backing means that it can go on even the most extreme curves. No paints or dips are needed so you can throw them out if you are still angry at them from last time. And best of all, air-release technology means that you won’t be seeing any air bubbles. And just like that, you are done.
