What heat level will this material withstand? I would like to wrap some small plastic components (plastic battery cover) in my engine bay but don’t want the heat of the engine to cause issues with the vinyl.
January 15, 2020 11:03 PM
Luke, We have had customers wrap plastic panels in their engine bay with success. The batter cover is probably a great test as it is not directly in contact with a heated surface like the engine cover. The film is designed to withstand extreme temperature ranges from -65 to +225 °F (-53 to +107 °C), but we really recomend you test a small area prior to a complete wrap. Every car and engine bay is different!

Hey! About how much would I need to wrap the dash and some trim in my CTS-V? Thank you!
February 7, 2020 6:19 PM
Hi Bsmitty, We usually recomend 24" x 60" or 36" x 60" sheet to wrap your interior. You may need more or less, depending on just how much of it you want to wrap. We usually recomend going one size up from what you think you may need. This will allow for a margin of error and leave you with some extra film to potentially re-wrap some problem areas. We have two great articles you can read to help in your buying decision:

How much do i need to cover the side panels of a suzuki Gsxr
March 16, 2020 5:23 AM
Shaun, Your's probably going to need two 48"x60 or 60"x 60" each sheets. This should give you a little extra to "practice" with in case you have to re-wrap any parts of your GSX R.

I have a T-shirt and decal business. I use a Cricut to cut out designs. Would I be able to use this carbon fiber with my Cricut?
May 25, 2020 9:42 AM
Kitzie, Yes you can absolutely use this film with a Cricut. It would work with all vinyl cutters. You are just going to have to play with the settings a little to get the cutting force just right. 4D film has a laminate on it, so it is a little thicker than traditional cast films.
