Simply put, it doesn't take much to ruin the vinyl while you're installing it. I had never done this before, and I got creases in the material, which ruined the glue, which made it swell and pull up fingers of water. Had I not screwed it up, it would have been a great product. The tint color and clarity are fantastic, which made it all the more painful when I realized I'd ruined it.
I want to be clear that I am a meticulous, slow, methodical person and borderline OCD when it comes to projects like this. I've installed vinyl decals before, done custom paint work, worked on elaborate costumes and props, and I am an avid DIY-er. I'm also a professional graphic designer with years of experience in the printing industry. Installing window tint is beyond my skill level. Take this into consideration, and maybe have a pro do it for you.
