Ford Vehicle Wraps

Ford is as much a symbol of American ingenuity as it is a global leader in the manufacture of top-of-the-line automobiles and, throughout its history, Ford has released one iconic vehicle after another in rapid succession. Aside from the legendary Model T, one of the earliest and most memorable of all of these was the Thunderbird which screamed onto American roads in the years following WWII. Aggressive styling, electrically powered windows and a ton of power combined to make the Thunderbird an instant success and foreshadowed the arrival of the pony cars. The Sixties heralded the introduction of the Ford Mustang which was the first American pony car. The Mustang featured a long hood, a wide and low stance and a raw power. In addition to the fabled Mustang, Ford also unveiled the F-Series in the early one and it has grown into one of the most venerated truck lines in American automotive history.

How Much Wrap Does Your Ford Need?

The best way to figure out how much vinyl your Ford (car, truck or SUV) will need is by using this simple formula. Take the length of your vehicle and multiply it by three (one for each side and the roof, hood and trunk) plus an extra 5 to 15 feet for bumpers, rocker panels, spoilers and mistakes. The following example should help:

  • The 2017 Ford Focus is approximately 179 inches in length.
  • 179 inches x 3 ~ 45 feet + 10 feet = 55 feet
  • Therefore, you would need two 60-inch by 10 yard rolls to completely wrap your Focus.

Just in case you don't have this exact Ford sedan we've provided this handy guide to help you estimate how much vinyl wraps you might need.

  • Small-size vehicles: 30 to 50 feet (10 to 16 yards). The Ford Fiesta or Focus Hatchback are listed as small sized cars.
  • Midsize cars: 60 feet. Examples of Ford vehicles in this range are the Fusion and C-Max.
  • Full-size vehicles: 70 to 80 feet. Examples of Ford sedans in this range are the Taurus, Mustang and Crown Vic.
  • SUVs, Trucks & Minivans: 90 to 100 feet. The Explorer, F-150 and the Ford Edge.

Please note: Ford vehicle wraps are meant for application only on OEM paint jobs.

I watch some videos on YouTube and as they said Avery film is a good choice for apprentice like me. Easy to install, move and release any air bubble behind. If you don't have any experience with car wrap I highly recommend watch some videos of this brand and do it.
