I am looking to wrap my 2006 Jeep Liberty Fenders and Bumpers in the Matte Black Finish. How well will the vinyl adhere to the plastic of it and how much would you suggest purchasing?

Kortney, Yes you can wrap those plastic fenders, but it is not easy. They are made from something called Low Surface Energy plastic or LSE. This type of plastic is designed so that things, like dirt, don't adhere to it. Which also means that things like a vinyl wrap, don't easily adhere to it. You would need to purchase an adhesive promoter like 3M Primer 94, probably a quart of more. It is a hazardous product to ship in that quantity, so we don't offer it but, you can purchase it online. Always test in an inconspicuous area prior to completely working with primer.

I’m looking to wrap my 1997 Jeep Wrangler but it isn’t a factory finish, it was repainted flat black 5 years ago with no finish. Will the vinyl cure properly or anything I can do to prep? Thank you, Shelbie

Shelbie, the vinyl will not have a problem adhering to the finish. Depending on how properly your Wrangler was painted is where you could have issues. If you need to remove your wrap, it could potentially remove paint that had poorly adhered to the primer. This generally does not happen, but once you step away from OEM finishes, there is always that risk.
