This oil-chrome is by far one of the hardest I've worked with, its extremely hard to weed out if you're making custom stickers and the film itself doesnt seem to want to stick to its backing material..

Hello, I hope this message finds you all well, healthy, and most importantly ... Happy! I was thinking about wrapping a RC car body for my son with this. He'd trip out and feel all Fast and Furious ya know? Do you think I can get it to accurately contour the intricate curves and lines of a 1/10 vehicle body? I was thinking maybe a 68 Mustang or a 70 Dodge Challenger just to give you an idea of the architecture. You can email me anytime at ericstevencook@hotmail.com but no rush. I know that your time is valuable and you need to focus on real customers. I wish you guys all the best!! This product is dope af, and I most def will tell folks no matter what. Thanks for your time, Have an awesome life!! Peace, e.

Eric, I would take a look at 3M 2080's installation videos to get a better idea of what it takes to wrap a car. I know you want to wrap your RC, but the principals are the same: Wrap Installation Videos YouTube has a lot of great resources to: RC Full Wrap Video

Thanks so much Philip for your response. I sincerely appreciate it. I was wondering if you had any videos available of installations and/or of the use of the additional products that you spoke of. If so, I'd appreciate some links to those and I will research this on my own as well. Again, many thanks!!

Can this product be screen printed over top of?
June 16, 2020 3:42 PM
Leili, You can use this for very large decals but the air egress will cause issues with adhesion for the smaller decals. you may also have trouble cutting them with something like a Cricut or Silhouette

Hello can this be used for car Decals?
August 21, 2020 12:29 AM
That's an interesting application. To be honest we never tried it. Vinyl is not meant to absorb ink so I have to imagine it probably would not work for this application. You would really need to test with a small sample. If it works, we would love to hear about it and see it! #RVINYL

how much do I need to order if I'm wrapping a Can-Am Spyder? I don't want to get to little or to much.
December 21, 2020 2:17 PM
Tsahai, Good question. It really probably depends on exactly what parts you want to wrap. Being that it is a three wheeled motorcycle, it has a few more parts that could be wrapped compared to say sport bike. The exact amount of vinyl you need to wrap your motorcycle depends on the various components you want to refresh. If you’re thinking of a full restoration, you can expect the vinyl to cover everything from the fuel tank and calipers to fender and clutch covers. If a partial upgrade is your go-to, you will need less material. It’s best to determine the area of each motorbike component, then add on several yards of material to be safe.

Wondering how much a person might need to order to wrap a road bicycle? 54cm frame specifically
May 18, 2021 11:43 AM
Lindsay, That is a great question. Bicycles can be a tricky wrap because of where the frame angles. We usually recommend about 20 - 30sq feet. That will allow you to have a little extra to redo sections if you don't get it right the first time. You could get away with less. So you will need a 48" or a 72" wrap sheet and plenty of patience!
