DIY Installation Saves Time and Money

Begin by cleaning the surface of your 2010 BMW X5's tail lights thoroughly with a mild detergent and water solution. After drying, prep the tail lights with a mixture of water and a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle. If you spot an error or misalignment, lift the tint gently and reapply, using the soapy water solution. Use a heat gun or hairdryer on a low setting to speed up the drying process and ensure a firm bond. Always cut away from the light and your body for safety. Regularly inspect the tint for any signs of peeling or bubbling, especially during the first few days after installation on your 2010 BMW X5. Remember, these tints are not just about aesthetics but also about protecting your lights from wear and tear.

I got a set of custom tints for my E92. I wanted to have it with the reverse light cut outs, but they explained I needed to apply the film first and then trim them out. It makes sense since you need to heat and stretch it to properly fit. I trimmed them out with a snap blade, careful not to cut my lights. I get compliments everywhere I go in NYC.

Installation is only a challenge if you have a vehicle with an extremely complicated lens patterns. (Extreme Bumps and curves). In that situation a blow dryer will work wonders to shrink the film around the curves. Great material that stretches and conforms. You can also pull film off and on (keep wet with spray bottle) to desired position. I went to YouTube for installation tips. I love the look and its definitely worth the money, time and effort.
