Turquoise Sign Vinyl

Turquoise gets its name from the gemstone of the same name which comes from the French word for Turkish. Its hex code is #30D5C8. Browse our wide selection of calendered and cast Sign films from 3M™, Avery™ and ORACAL® and get just the style and type of Sign vinyl you need.

What Is the Color Turquoise on the Color Wheel?

Located between blue and green in the color wheel, turquoise is a mixture of pale blue and green or blue with a small amount of yellow. Many colors that are not turquoise are often called turquoise. Turquoise is not light blue, it is not teal (although it is a close cousin) and it is not aqua — it's a mixture of light blue and green. Many vibrant, warm turquoises contain yellow tints as well. The color can range from warm to cool and from vibrant to very, very pale.

What Are Some Popular Color Pairings with Turquoise?

Turquoise looks great with citrus tones, especially lime. It also works with many different blues, including navy, and it is lovely with red. It appears often in tropical design from the Caribbean to Mexico, and also in Native American arts and motifs. Its cooler form is all over midcentury modern design as well. Pair turquoise with a bright or warm white and you get instant beach. Pair it with an umber or mustard, and you evoke old Mexico. Put it with gold for immediate glamour.

How to Use Turquoise in Signs and Designs

Turquoise works well with businesses related to water, whether they are water filtration companies, pool cleaning businesses, or water sports. It has an innovative quality and appeal for sports related businesses and combines well with red, orange or yellow for these types of businesses. Turquoise is suitable for both the male and female market and for all ages. Combined with pale pink, lavender or pale lemon, turquoise has a feminine energy, ideal for the fashion or beauty market, gift or home wares stores.
