Not bad for the money

by | Philadelphia, PA |
So i purchased this to use on my 2012 Ford Focus and the results were better than expected. It is not as dark as I would have liked for the tail lights, but was perfect for the headlights. I guess it makes sense since you want people to see when you stop! Installation was little harder than I though, but I bought extra film in case I made a mistake. With a little practice and some patience it will come out pretty well.

Not bad for the price

Purchased this to tint out my Ford Edge, figuring because they have small lights it would not be too hard. It wasn't bad, I did not get any wrinkles but I did get bubbles. I am not sure if this is because I used my own soap and water solution or if its because I did not heat the film enough during installation. It still looks pretty cool and the smoke looks nice on the clear reverse light portion. It is not very dark, but I did not want the blackout version.

2015 Ford Edge

by | Thousand Oaks, CA |
If your not familiar the Edge has some pretty big lights! I went with a72" kit to make sure I had enough film. It was a little challenging, particularly by the fenders. Once I was done it looked great, there were a few small bubbles but, they went away in a few days. Next on the list is my tail lights!

Looks great, install not easy for first timer

If you do not have experience installing tint it will definitely take a while to get it right and you may wind up with a bubble or two but even so it will look great. Also blackout smoke definitly means blackout smoke.

Difficult installation

by | East coast |
The instructions say you may have to trim or stretch the product. I consider myself handy. I've tinted the windows in all my vehicles. Vinyl wrapped bumpers, emblems, ect. Tail light covers for the 2018 f150 need to be stretched more than a half inch vertically. That's not even taking into account the curves in the light. I tore the first one trying to stretch it. It seems if you may have to trim or stretch wouldn't trimming would be easier.

I have contacted Rvinyl. We'll see how they handle it and I'll change review accordingly.

Re: Difficult installation

This is a follow up to my other review.

I have to say that Rvinyl was very easy to deal with and quickly resolved my issue with the width of the product.

I misspoke on my other review. The issue was with the width horizontally,

not vertically. They were able to add to the width for me and shipped it that day.

I will post pictures of the project when it's finished.

Thanks Rvinyl.
