Custom Template Still WIP

by | Houston |
I ordered a custom dash kit for a Dodge Durango and was apparently the first order for this particular template. Since no diagram was available I asked what pieces came with the set. Rvinyl would not provide a list of pieces. Other dash kits have optional pieces that include steering wheel trim, door trim, etc. I was left wondering what I would get. I got two nearly identical upper & lower console kits, one with steering wheel pieces, but neither came with dash trim or door trim (the very pieces I wanted). I had to purchase extra wrap for these pieces and install manually myself. The duplicated console pieces were not of much interest so I tried a few because I had them and they look fine. I'm giving high marks for ease of installation and style, but a lesser mark for value because the dash pieces I thought should be included were not.

GREAT GREAT GREAT product. it took me 9 hours total to install (first time plus i made it PERFECT). time pays off. i ended up not using a couple pieces of the vinyl because i didnt think it would look right with it, so i cut them for other parts such as the dodge badge on the steering wheel and trunk, a couple trim pieces on the drivers side, and i still have a lot left which i plan on using on the gauges. when you install it make sure you use a hairdryer to do the edges so that it can bend and form on top of it (this makes it look like it is not a sticker, but actually a carbon fiber wrap). also use a credit card or squeegee to get all of the bubbles out as you are doing it. ADVICE: start by doing less noticeable pieces such as the back door handles so that you can get the hang of installing this stuff. the carbon fiber is not real carbon fiber, but it looks like a mix of real and synthetic carbon fiber. this DOES look better than the real carbon fiber hard shells that they sell for $200-300 online. this is worth the time and money. just take your time and use good lighting when installing and it will look great. WILL BUY AGAIN!!!!

Carbon Fiber Trim Review

by | Bath, PA |
Fast shipping, nice looking kit. Installation is a little hard because its made from a vinyl film but for the money it is worth every penny. It looks expensive and you don't need any special tools to apply it to your interior. I would have gave it five stars, but the center console is a little tricky to apply in an '06.

A Trim Kit to Die For!

by | Granite City, IL |
Truly a bargain for a custom made product. I purchased this for my wife's Charger and she was thrilled. The blue finish is very nice, nothing like it on the market. My only complaint was it took about two weeks to ship, but worth the wait.

Aluminum Dash Kit Review

by | Newburgh Heights, OH |
Purchased this kit for my 2008 Caliber. I love it! Put it on my car in about an hour, most of the work was cleaning the inside up so that it would stick well. The silver looks really good, like a factory kit. Cheap price, good quality.
