Cadillac Tail Light Tints

Cadillac has been at the top of the American luxury game for decades. And, like a fine wine, it just seems to keep getting better with age. Whether you're the proud owner of the muscular CTS-V, the athletic ATS or the iconic Escalade, precut tail light tints from Rtint® give you yet one more way to stand out from the crowd. Trust a brand that's as all-American as apple pie with more than a decade of experience — put your trust in us.

When you buy a Cadillac precut tail light tint from us you're getting the top of the line in style and value. And, because we design and produce every pair of taillight covers here in NYC, you should feel good knowing that you're supporting a company that's as American as Cadillac.

Lay or Spray?

In the last few years, spray on tints and taillight dips have become more and more popular. Because we're here to serve you we also carry Plasti-Dip smoked tint spray and both red and translucent black VHT. But just because something is popular doesn't mean its the best option.

The main problem we've discovered with spray on taillight tints is the unevenness of the tin. This often happens with first-time installers because spray tinting requires a steady hand to apply many coats of dip or paint correctly. This is a problem for both types of spray on tint but the chance of damaging the taillights should be a real concern for anyone thinking of using VHT . You see, VHT is more or less a paint and once it's applied to plastic lenses there's no turning back. So, unless you're a pro or very confident you should consider dip or vinyl films.

Plasti-dip, though a less risky options than VHT, has its own problems. The most common complaint you hear about it is that it is not durable. Because it was first made to temporarily rubberize tool handles, it can be peeled away without damaging the surface.

Unparalleled Selection

By now it should be clear that vinyl tint film is the smart choice when it comes to taillight tinting. Durable but semi-permanent, Rtint® film is available in over a dozen different shades and colors. Compare our selection to the handful you get with the competition and we're sure you'll agree that Rtint® is the way to go. Our top three most popular tint films for tail lights are as follows:

  1. Smoke — At 38% VLT this is our all-time favorite because it give just enough tinting with a high-gloss shine.
  2. Red Smoke — 17% VLT and made to conceal the amber or yellow portions of taillights.
  3. Matte Smoke —  Dark enough for most people at 10% VLT and perfect for Plasti-Dip lovers.

I have pretty much done everything to my Escalade EXT you can imagine including installing a gullwing door kit! These were just about as hard to install! I wanted to keep that OEM look, but with a wow factor. This definitely does that. They were a little hard to install, because of the curve on the corner and that bump out on the side. Cutting out the reverse lights was easy and did not damage my factory light. Highly recommended for DIY type people or to have professionally installed.
