What is this product?
Carbon Fiber Dash Kits are
made from a carbon fiber laminate with a textured weave surface and allow
you to inexpensively add a carbon look to any interior. They come pre-cut as shown in the
dash kit diagram
and ready to apply. Each kit is computer cut, designed to accent the
interior dash trim panels of your car.

What Dash Kit application tools do you recommend?
Rvinyl recommends the use of an application squeegee which will reduce air
bubbles during installation and aide in heat conforming the vinyl dash kit
to your vehicle's interior trim. By
using a low friction sleeve, you will reduce the chance of scratching your
carbon fiber dash kit during application. Application solutions such as Rapid Clear will
remove any dirt or debris from your vehicle's trim. We strongly recommend the use of these
products to achieve professional results.
What is Installation Insurance?
Rvinyl wants you to have a successful installation with professional
results. By adding installation insurance at the time of your order, if for
any reason you are not satisfied with your installation we will replace up
to six individual pieces of your
original carbon fiber dash kit order free of charge all you pay is shipping.
What makes Rvinyl Dash Kits different from others?
The major advantages of vinyl laiminate
carbon fiber dash kits over traditional, hard polyurethane dash kits are that, by
nature:
(1) The material is soft and flexible allowing it to conform to the
contours and blend seamlessly into your dash.
(2) The dash kit can be removed without
damaging your vehicle's interior.
(3) It is a cost effective non-permanent
modification as opposed to painting the interior of your dash.
(4) It
is perfect for leased vehicles as it is a non-permanent and non-damaging to
your vehicle's dash.
The dash kit is a precut vinyl film with a textured carbon laminate, it is not a hard polyurethane, a molded, an OEM
replacement dash kit or a factory match kit. Given the vinyl's flexible nature
trimming may be necessary on some dash parts, detailed installation
instructions are provided online. Installation Diagrams are provided
online only.
Can it be cleaned?
Yes, once applied and bonded to your surface you may clean it and polish it
with such things Armor All or any type of cleaning agent that is Acetate
free.
Do you have any additional pieces other than those shown in the diagram?
Unfortunately we do not, however you may use or
wrap kits to
trim and accent parts of your dash that are not included.
Do you offer Right Hand Drive Kits?
Although we
do not carry a kit specifically designed for non-U.S. models, we do offer a
mirrored version of our kits for RHD or JDM configurations.

What are the vinyl dash trim kits physical properties?
- Thickness of film plus adhesive: .0084" (.21336cm)
- Application temperature: 50°F to 104°F (10°C - 40°C)
- Rvinyl recommends an application temperature of 70-80°F (21° -26°)
- End Use temperature after application: -5°F to 194°F (-20°C - 90°C) |
