What is this product?
Carbon Fiber R Two Vinyl Films are a polyester based film. The film has our highest gloss finish.  Such a high gloss finish in fact, that it reflects much lime a mirror would. The film has a textured checkered pattern, but is smooth to the touch due to its high gloss UV protective finish.

Textured Polyester Vinyl film, you can see the embossed pattern, but smooth to the touch.

What Carbon Fiber Vinyl R Two Black Film application tools do you recommend?
Rvinyl recommends the use of an application squeegee which will reduce air bubbles during installation and aide in heat conforming Carbon Fiber R Two Film.  By using a low friction sleeve, you will reduce the chance of scratching your Carbon Fiber Black Laminate Film during application. Application solutions such as Rapid Clear will remove any dirt or debris from your application surface and Rapid Tac will aide in the wet application of our laminate Film kits. We strongly recommend the use of these products to achieve professional results.

Why don't you offer a wider R Two kit?
Do to manufacturing constraints we do not offer wider kits than 24 inches and do not offer longer kits than 120 inches. We have taken into consideration the general ability of our customers to install this product and feel that these dimensions are the largest and easiest to work with when restyling your application surface in Black Carbon Fiber R Two Film.

What can Rvinyl Wrap Kits be applied to?

Your car's dash board, audio, gauges, audio accessories, navigation systems, amplifiers, wheels, mirrors, door handles, glass, cell phones, laptops, plastic trim, metal parts and just about any relatively non-porous surface.

Do they have a glossy finish?
Yes, R Two has our highest gloss finish available.

Is the surface durable?
When applied correctly to the appropriate hard surface the film is very durable, UV stable and scratch resistant. It is by far our most durable film.

Can it be applied to curved surfaces?
Carbon Fiber R Two Black Film can be applied to surfaces with moderate curvatures, the more extreme the curve the more difficult the application.  They can be applied using a heated application method.  This is an advanced installation procedure, but well worth the trouble.

Will it fade in the sun?
No, it is coated with a UV protective layer which will last up to three years outdoors.

Can it be cleaned?
Yes, once applied and bonded to your surface you may clean it and polish it with such things Armor All or any type of cleaning agent that is Acetate free.

What are the films physical properties?
 Thickness of film plus adhesive: .0084" (0.021336cm)
 Application temperature: 50°F to 104°F (10°C - 40°C)
 Rvinyl recommends an application temperature of 70-80°F (21° -26°)
 End Use temperature after application: -5°F to 194°F (-20°C - 90°C)

What is the difference between Carbon Fiber R One, Two and Three Series films?
Rvinyl R One film is our widest printed vinyl based film and designed to be applied to curved or compounded surfaces. R Two and R Three series films are foil or polyester based, have a different pattern and are designed to be applied to simple curves, but generally flatter even surfaces. Our Laminate film is 2 Ply, incredibly durable, our thickest film and one of our least flexible lines.
