Why Professionals Choose HP750

🛡

6-Year Durability

Formulated for extended outdoor exposure, resisting UV fading, cracking, and peeling for up to 6 years on vertical surfaces.

Effortless Weeding

The specialized kraft liner and cohesive adhesive balance allow for incredibly fast weeding, even on intricate text and fine details.

Excellent Conformability

Unlike standard calendered films, HP750 easily conforms to flat surfaces and simple curves, making it ideal for vehicle lettering.

Advanced Adhesive

Features a clear, permanent acrylic adhesive that provides a strong, reliable bond across glass, metal, and painted surfaces.

HP750 vs ORACAL 651

While ORACAL 651 is a popular intermediate film, Avery HP750 is a High Performance polymeric film that offers superior longevity, conformability, and dimensional stability for more demanding professional applications.

Application Guide

Surface Preparation

Thoroughly clean the application surface with a 2:1 mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the surface is completely dry and free of wax, grease, or debris before applying the film.

Cutting & Weeding

Cut your design using a standard 45-degree plotter blade. The HP750 series is engineered for excellent weedability; carefully peel away the excess negative space vinyl from the kraft liner.

Masking

Apply a medium-tack transfer tape over your weeded design. Use a squeegee with firm, overlapping strokes to ensure the tape bonds securely to the vinyl face film.

Installation

Position the graphic on your prepared surface. Squeegee from the center outward to push out any trapped air. Carefully remove the transfer tape at a sharp 180-degree angle to leave the HP750 graphic perfectly installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Avery HP750 the same as Avery SC950?

No. Avery HP750 is a 3-mil High Performance polymeric calendered film (up to 6-year durability). Avery SC950 is a 2-mil premium cast film (up to 10-year durability) designed for extreme conformability over complex curves and deep recesses.

Can I use HP750 for full vehicle wraps?

HP750 is excellent for vehicle lettering, striping, and flat-panel commercial fleet graphics. However, because it is a calendered film, it is not recommended for full vehicle wraps that require stretching into deep channels or over complex compound curves. For full wraps, use a cast film like Avery SW900.

Can I print on Avery HP750?

HP750 is an opaque, solid-color film designed primarily for electronic cutting (plotters). It is not formulated or top-coated for wide-format digital inkjet printing (solvent, latex, or UV). If you need a printable film, look for Avery's MPI series.

Is this film removable?

HP750 uses a permanent acrylic adhesive designed for long-term applications. While it can be removed with heat and adhesive removers, it will not come off cleanly or easily like a temporary or removable wrap film.
