The Jeep Wrangler is a series of mid-size four-wheel SUV that excels on off-roads. First made by Jeep in 1986, this series is going strong and currently in its fourth generation. It is based on the World War II Jeep,the CJ, even though Chrysler nor American Motors Corporation have admitted it.

The second generation of Jeep Wrangler, the TJ, made its debut in 1996 as a 1997 model year. It went back to the round headlamps that were featured on the CJ. The TJ set the precedent for all Wranglers to have coil-spring suspensions, a change from the leaf-spring suspensions. The automatic shifter was moved to the floor.
To fully wrap your Jeep Wrangler TJ, you will need from 12.6 to 14.4 yards of film protection film. The TJ went through a few changes throughout the years and it will vary on size depending on the year it was released. This does not include the windows, wheels, and the lights of the vehicle. For a partial, you will need 4.2 - 4.6 yards of film and that will cover one side of the vehicle or the roof.
The third generation of Jeep Wrangler, the JK made its appearance in 2006 for the 2007 model year. This was the first Wrangler vehicle with a complete redesign as the body, frame and suspension were new. A four-door version called "Unlimited" was also released and it offered a lot more room because of a wheelbase that was over 20 inches longer.
Completely wrap your third generation Jeep Wrangler JK with 14.8 yards to 15.9 yards of paint protection film. That is excluding the windows, lights, and the wheels of the vehicle. For a partial wrap, we recommend 4.7 to 5.3 yards of film. A partial wrap is able to cover one side of the vehicle or the roof.
The fourth generation Jeep Wrangler, the JL, was released in 2017 for the 2018 model year and featured a redesigned 8-speed automatic transmission. In 2021, Jeep released a plug-in hybrid version called the Wrangler 4xe. iSeeCars released a study in 2018 that named Jeep Wrangler the vehicle with the lowest depreciation after 5 years.
If you plan on completely wrapping your fourth generation Jeep Wrangler, the JL, then you will need 14.1 yards for the two-door and 15.9 yards of paint protection film for the four-door. That does not include the windows, lights, or the wheels of the vehicle. A partial wrap will require 4.1 yards of film for the two-door one 4.7 for the four-door. The partial wrap will cover one side of the vehicle or the roof.
