How to Install Precut Window Tint on Your Jeep

Clean the glass

Wash all windows with soap and water. Use isopropyl alcohol to remove wax, grease or residue. The glass must be completely clean and dry.

Match each piece to its window

Lay out all precut pieces and match each one to the correct window before removing any liner. Confirm coverage before applying.

Spray the glass with slip solution

Mist the glass with tint slip solution or diluted baby shampoo. This lets you reposition the film before it sets.

Peel the liner and wet the adhesive

Peel the liner and lightly mist the adhesive side. This prevents the film from sticking before you are ready to position it.

Position the tint on the glass

Place the film on the wet glass and slide it into position. Work carefully before squeegeeing.

Squeegee from the center outward

Push out water and air bubbles from the center toward the edges. Overlap each pass for even coverage.

Apply light heat where needed

Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low to help the film conform to curves or edges. Keep the heat moving.

Let the film cure

Do not roll the windows down for at least 3 to 5 days after installation. The film needs time to fully cure and bond to the glass.
