Choose Your VLT Shade
VLT (Visible Light Transmission) is the percentage of light that passes through the film. Lower VLT means darker tint. The chart below shows how each shade looks on an Altima and what heat rejection you can expect across all four glass zones.

Windshield Visor Strip
A narrow strip across the top of the front windshield. Reduces sun glare on long drives. Apply carefully around any camera or sensor mounted at the top of the windshield on 6th gen models.

Driver and passenger windows. Most states require 35% or higher VLT for front doors. Verify your local laws before ordering.

The rear windshield. The Altima Sedan has a slight curve while the Coupe has a longer, more steeply raked rear glass — always order the correct body style. The rear windshield has a defroster grid — apply film carefully around the defroster lines.
How Hard Is It to Tint an Altima?
The Nissan Altima is rated beginner difficulty. The door glass is flat and approachable. The rear windshield has a slight curve that requires careful squeegee work from the center outward. Most owners complete the full install in 2–3 hours. The precut pieces eliminate all measuring and trimming — no cutting, no guesswork, just patience and a clean workspace.
Clean the Glass
Wash all windows with a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner. Remove all dust, oils, and residue. Pay extra attention to the door window channels where dirt accumulates.
Wet the Window
Spray the inside of the glass with a slip solution. The Altima’s flat door glass allows the film to slide easily into position for precise alignment.
Apply the Precut Film
Peel the liner, place the precut piece on the wet glass, and align it to the edges. The precut shape fits the Altima’s exact window dimensions — no trimming required.
Squeegee Out Moisture
Use a hard card or squeegee to push out water and air bubbles from the center outward. Work carefully around the defroster grid on the rear windshield.
Cure & Enjoy
Allow 3–5 days for the film to fully cure. Avoid rolling windows down during this period. Small haze or bubbles will disappear as the film dries.
