Tail Light Smoke Tint Protection Wrap Kit Description: |

What is this product?
This Rvinyl Protection film is a "fusion product" that blends the worlds of
protection and tint modification into a single film wrap kit.
These urethane based protection kits bond to your tail lights with optically
clear non-permanent adhesive. These kits are a much better alternative to
bulky plastic covers or unreliable spray tints.
Designed to protect you vehicles tail lights, they can shield your expensive
lights from 1" diameter stones hurled at your vehicle's lights at over
120mph! Durable enough to last up to 5 years of the harshest abuse, yet thin
enough to appear as an OEM modification (17-20 mil thick).
How do I apply this product?
After applying the vinyl wrap film, you simply trim the excess vinyl with a
sharp blade or hobby knife (not included). What you have left is a
customized interior without the head aches and costs associated with
painting the interior or trim pieces of your vehicle.
Are your lights safe with out it?
Years of outdoor exposure degrade OEM lights.
Scratches and UV radiation turn tail lights yellow and milky-white over time,
leading up to a 50% degradation in foot light candle output. Protection film
prevents this.
What is the difference between Tint and Protection film?
Rvinyl Protection Kits are made from an optically clear 20mil (.020") thick
clear film or a 17mil (.017") thick color film. Rvinyl Non-protective tint
film uses a transparent vinyl which is 3mil (.003")thick. These films are
not made from urethane, do not use optically clear adhesives, reduce light
transmission and provide no light protection.
How do I know which wrap size film to purchase?
Measure the surface area where the film is going to be applied. Take
into consideration any bends or compound curves that may need the material
to bend when wrapping. Then choose the most applicable size for your need. A
Tailor's Tape works well when measuring for bulk film.
Can the film be removed without
damage?
Rvinyl protective film can be easily removed without damage to the light
or original paint. Upon initial application, the film can be pulled back up
and reapplied numerous times if not installed correctly. The film and
adhesive are forgiving enough for this. Once the film has settled
(approximately 48-72 hours) the product is not considered reusable. Upon
removal warm the film and lift off slowly. If there is any additional
adhesive left on the lens, simply rub the adhesive with isopropyl alcohol.
Are your colored films legal on tail lights for street use?
Our colored films may not be legal for
street use on primary lighting. Please check your state or local laws before
application. Our colored films do not produce a blue or red light when lit.
All non-clear films are intended for off-road show car use only.
