What is Calendared vinyl?
Calendared films are thick vinyl that is manufactured in an alternate
method to others. The process involves mixing and rolling raw
materials, followed by mixing and kneading them, followed by expelling
them through extruder sheets. Gigantic, heated, steel rollers form the
vinyl into a thin sheet in a process called calendaring. Improved
formulations and the use of new pigments have led to increased color
options for the calendared film.
