On a part that is 60" x12", does the brushed pattern run the same direction on the 60" or the 12" dimension? I'm interested in the brushed pattern running end to end along the 60" dimension.

The brush aluminum finish runs the length of the roll, not the width. This is how 3M manufacturers the rolls. So if you purchased a 60" x 12" roll, the grain would run on the short side and if you wanted it to be long, you would need a 60" x 60" wrap.
