Chevrolet Vehicle Wraps

Chevrolet, or Chevy, is as American as the 4th of July and apple pie despite its Francophone name. Founded in 1911 by William Durant and Louis Chevrolet, the Chevrolet Motor Company was bought by GM in 1918 to compete with Ford’s Model T. Its iconic and famous “bowtie” logo was designed in 1914 and it is often claimed to be derived from the Swiss Cross that was the national symbol of Louis Chevrolet’s homeland. From the very beginning, Chevrolet has been at the top of its game so whether you’re looking to restore or color change your Camaro, Suburban or your Chevy strong pick-ups  3M™Series 1080 and Rwraps™ vinyl films have more than 200 different finishes and colors to suit every taste without breaking any budgets!

How Much Wrap Does Your Chevrolet Need?

The best way to figure out how much vinyl your Chevrolet (car, truck or SUV) will need is by using this simple formula. Take the length of your vehicle and multiply it by three (one for each side and the roof, hood and trunk) plus an extra 5 to 15 feet for bumpers, rocker panels, spoilers and mistakes. The following example should help:

  • The 2017 Chevrolet Malibu is approximately 194 inches in length.
  • 194 inches x 3 = 49 feet + 10 feet = 59 feet
  • Therefore, you would need two 60-inch by 10 yard rolls to completely wrap your Malibu.

Just in case you don't have this exact Chevy we've provided this handy guide to help you estimate how much vinyl wraps you might need.

  • Small-size vehicles: 30 to 50 feet (10 to 16 yards). The Chevrolet Aveo or Spark are examples of a vehicle in this size range.
  • Midsize cars: 60 feet. Examples of Chevrolet vehicles in this range are the Chevy  Cruze and Cobalt
  • Full-size vehicles: 70 to 80 feet. Examples of Chevrolet sedans in this range are the Chevy SS, Malibu and the Impala.
  • SUVs, Trucks & Minivans: 90 to 100 feet. The Tahoe, Equinox, Silverado and the City Express minivan.

Please note: Chevrolet vehicle wraps are meant for application only on OEM paint jobs.

This was by far the easiest installation i have done. First time wrapping a hood and it took a few hours smoothing the air bubble out but i was very pleased with the out come.
