After being pressed into service making weapons for the war effort in WWII, the company restructured itself as a motor vehicle maker with the introduction of the Mazda-Go.  It wasn't until 1970, however, that Mazda entered the North American market. In the following decades iconic models like the Miata MX-5 and B-Series trucks were released but the 1990s were bittersweet for Mazda as the company started off strong but ended the millennium in a weakened state. As a result Ford Motor Company would increase its stake to the point where they had a controlling interest.

How Much Vinyl Does Your Mazda Need?

The best way to figure out how much vinyl your Mazda (car, truck or SUV) will need is by using this simple formula. Take the length of your vehicle and multiply it by three (one for each side and the roof, hood and trunk) plus an extra 5 to 10 feet for bumpers, rocker panels, spoilers and mistakes. The following example should help:

• The 2017 Mazda 2 is about 13 feet in length.
• 13 feet x 3 = 39 feet + 11 feet = 50 feet
• Therefore, you would need two 60-inch by 10 yard rolls to completely wrap your Mazda2    .

• Small-size vehicles: 25 to 30 feet (10 to 16 yards). The Mazda 2 and the MX-5 Miata.
