I've done a decent amount of tint work. Probably more than the average person. I've never had such a difficult time with taillight tint before on my X5. The curves of the lights and the precut tint was a bad combo. I heated and stretched the tint as much as it could go and they still wound up too short. Since the tint was precut and a very shapley lens it should have come with extra excess to trim off. Instead of starting with a too short piece and having to fight to stretch it with barely any material to pull from.
They're wrinkled and bubbled. The pieces were so statically charged it was difficult just to get the backing off. One piece had a huge crease in the outer protective layer, which also creased the tint. Just a pain.
I'll have to redo them but I'm doing it with an uncut sheet next time. They do look awesome from a distance though.
