Mitsubishi Vehicle Wraps

Mitsubishi is known throughout the world as a maker of sporty yet affordable vehicles. Founded in 1917, it found itself pressed into the service of the Japanese government for most of the first half of the 20th Century. Laboring along gin Japan until the 1970s when it teamed up with Chrysler to bring its vehicles to American shores. Some of the most iconic vehicles produced during this era such as the Dodge Colt were the result of this early collaboration. This strategy of rebranding Mitsubishi's vehicles under the Dodge and Chrysler names went on for the better part of a decade but by 1982 the two companies felt the American public was ready to accept the Japanese automaker without the Dodge badge and the first US-only model was released under the name Tredia. Following soon on its heels came the Mirage, which has the distinction of running for more than 20 years.

The 90s may have been the best decade yet for Mitsubishi. During this time the company launched both the 3000GT (also known as the Dodge Stealth) and the Eclipse. Both of these rides were intended for young drivers in search of budget speed and performance. Perhaps its biggest hit though was the Lancer and Lancer Evo. Beloved by rally enthusiasts and tuners alike, the Evo has left shoes that are hard to fill in its absence. At the turn of the millennium Mitsubishi continued to expand its lineup with the crossover SUV Outlander and the Montero Sport which was a mid-size SUV. Because Mitsubishi puts so much time and energy into the creation of superb automotive works of art, it's only natural that drivers and enthusiasts alike expect the same quality and style when thinking about using DIY color change wraps. That's why we carry only the best Mitsubishi vehicle wraps made by companies like Rwraps™ and 3M™.

How Much Vinyl Do  You Need?

If you're looking to completely wrap your Mitsubishi we've got a simple formula for you. Just take the length of your vehicle and multiply it by three (one for each side and the roof, hood and trunk) plus add an extra 5 to 10 feet for bumpers, rocker panels, spoilers and mistakes. The following example should help:

  • The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer is about 182 inches in length.
  • 15 feet x 3 = 45 feet + 5 feet = 50 feet
  • Therefore, you would need two 60-inch by 10 yard rolls to completely wrap your Mitsubishi.

Please note: Mitsubishi vehicle wraps are meant for application only on OEM paint jobs.
