Scion: The Millennial Car Company

Scion was the result of the world's largest automaker (Toyota) desire to invent a marque to appeal to the growing demographic of younger drivers. Debuting at the New York Auto Show in 2002, Toyota featured its first two Scion concepts the bbX (which later became the xB) and the ccX which would become the tC. Both of these concepts were met with instant adoration and the boxy xB, affectionately known as the Toaster, we would  become one of the most beloved youth cars of the decade.

Scion Goes Forth Boldly

Capitalizing on its initial success with the xB and the tC, Scion next debuted the xA and xD. Neither of which ever were able to create the interest or demand of first two models. The later part of the decade saw setbacks for all car makers, but Scion put its hopes in the FR-S to renew the brand. Despite a stunning critical reception slow sales spelled the death knell for the brand, with the remaining models being rebadged under Toyota for the 2017 model year (the iM becoming the Camry iM).

Scion had neatly defined goals and a well-executed design language. By inspiring its owners with great design and peppy performance Scion is the perfect template for you to customize with aftermarket accessories, interior trim and tints. And, best of all, once you do decide to upgrade and customize you can get up to $20 Cash Back as well as be featured here!
